Bulgarian pepper, the cultivation of seedlings of which has its own characteristics

Bell pepper has long earned a well-deserved popularity due to its rich content of vitamins, especially group C, acids (nicotinic and folic), nutrients and minerals. Its value in terms of usefulness is undeniable. Bulgarian pepper, the cultivation of seedlings of which requires certain knowledge, grows in the gardens of many people. Let's consider some aspects of how to get pepper seedlings.

The optimal time for sowing seeds in the ground is the period from 1 to 15 February. If the same happens in mid-March, then the seedlings will need artificial illumination using 40, 80-watt lamps for a month.

It is better to start by preparing the seeds for planting, which is as follows:
  • disinfection with a solution of dark pink potassium permanganate (for half an hour);
  • soaking after rinsing with running water in a nutrient solution (for a day);
  • spraying with clean water and placing on a plate, wrapped in a damp cloth, for germination (1-2 days).
The meaning of these measures is that if you sow the seeds that have sprouted, they will sprout faster. The planting process begins by leveling and compacting the soil in the seedling box. After that, it must be divided into grooves located 5 cm apart, and poured with warm water. The distance between the seeds in the groove should be 2-3 cm at a planting depth of 1-1.5 cm. Sprinkle the seeds with a little earth on top and press down slightly.

The first shoots need good lighting. In order for the sprouts not to stretch out and give good roots, during the first 7 days it is better to keep them at a temperature of 14-16 degrees, which in the future will need to be increased to 25 degrees. About 30-35 days, at the end of which they will have a pair of real leaves and the moment for a dive will come, the seedlings will be in the box. In this case, watering is sufficient to carry out once a week.

In order for Bulgarian pepper, the cultivation of seedlings of which, including its hardening, to please with a good harvest, it is necessary:
  • constantly keep him warm and in the sun, since even partial shade is not acceptable in his relation;
