Gelenium is an unpretentious but effective flower

Gelenium flower has many different varieties, which are divided into two types - undersized and tall. The former will feel great both in group plantings and in single compositions in the foreground, as well as in curbs, and the latter in the background. At the same time, the helenium flower looks most advantageous as a tapeworm (that is, in a single planting) against the background of the bright green of the lawn.

The main criterion for proper care of this species is its regular and abundant watering, especially when it comes to dry and hot summer periods. In addition, plants respond very well to feeding, which needs to be done very infrequently - about several times a season. Perhaps the only inconvenience when growing geleniums is the need to transplant them. Since the bushes of the plant age quickly enough, they will have to be replanted every three to four years. Moreover, it is extremely undesirable to do this in the fall. If you are going to transplant exactly in the autumn season, be sure to cut off all the stems of the plant so that their height is no more than ten centimeters, and try to protect the root system from damage as much as possible.

You should also take care of the wintering of the plant, which can freeze out in a frosty and snowless winter. Before the onset of frost, geleniums (especially young, not yet matured bushes) must be cut short enough so that the branches do not interfere with the shelter, carefully mulched with sawdust or moss, and then cover with lutrasil.
