Rustic in the photo - a variety of forms

The tree plant in the photo ... It is very difficult to describe what you can see if you decide to find information about this plant.

The groundwort or senezio belongs to the largest genus of flowering plants of the Astrov family. This genus includes 1000 to 3000 species of various plants, which are scattered around the globe and have forms from annual herbaceous plants to trees.

The Latin name Senezio ("bald", "old") was given to the genus because after the seeds ripen, the baskets of plants stand bald and naked for a long time.

Most of the plants are in the form of annual or perennial grasses. You can also find shrubs, and vines, and dwarf shrubs. In African countries, many representatives of this genus are succulent plants. There are representatives of senezio in indoor floriculture.

Trees of the genus tree are found mainly in the highlands of Africa, reaching a height of 10 meters in nature. Their peculiarity is that the trunk practically does not undergo branching, only at its top is a rosette of leaves - the crown.

Common to all representatives of this diverse genus is the similarity in the appearance of flowers. The groundwort in the photo can often be seen with inflorescences that resemble daisies or chamomile.

But the color of flowers can be varied: yellow, red, orange, blue, purple.

Many plants of this family are dangerous to animals and humans, since the content of alkaloids makes them poisonous.

But thanks to the alkaloids, some species of wild rose are medicinal plants used for the production of medicines.
