Pumpkin properties

Pumpkin pulp can be eaten both boiled and raw. It has a positive effect on the entire body, having the following properties:

  • diuretic action;
  • lowering cholesterol;
  • choleretic action;
  • laxative effect;
  • antipyretic effect;
  • restoration of heart rate;
  • lowering blood pressure.

Pumpkin seeds are no less useful - they contain more than 50% fatty oils, vitamins B1 and C, carotene. Pumpkin seeds expel worms. In addition, fried seeds have excellent taste; they can be used to make various delicacies - gozenaki, cookies, sweets. Of course, peeling half a kilogram of seeds is quite troublesome, but there is a vegetable for the lazy - gymnosperm pumpkin. Yes, yes, it is with seeds without a peel! This variety appeared thanks to breeders and now you don't have to worry about husks all over the house!

Gymnospermous pumpkin in cultivation is no different from ordinary pumpkin, the only thing is that it should be sown far from other varieties and zucchini in order to avoid over-pollination (in this case, the seeds will be peeled).
Do not expect large pumpkin of this variety, because it is grown specifically for seeds, and not for pulp, which, by the way, is used to treat prostatitis in men.
