How to feed seedlings for pepper

Usually, feeding pepper seedlings is optional. But everyone understands that its addition stimulates the growth of seedlings. This is very important for the strength of the sprouts, which will adapt to the further environment in which they will be planted.

What feeding pepper seedlings is

At home, excellent pepper seedlings can be obtained. It doesn't take much effort to do this. The top dressing that will be chosen is of great importance. After diving, as well as after transshipment, the seedlings grow and develop in a good substrate, and young plants are not always able to find the required amount of natural nutrients in the soil. The following can be said about feeding pepper:

  • Fertilizers such as phosphorus and nitrogen are well suited;
  • Phosphorus should promote plant growth, development of the root system;
  • Nitrogen promotes the growth of leaves and green mass;
  • The main thing to remember is that pepper does not tolerate, like all plants, frequent or excessively abundant fertilizers, they must be applied carefully;
  • The first feeding is carried out a week after the formation of 3 true leaves;
  • The second procedure is carried out 10-12 days after the first - by this time at least 4-5 true leaves should appear on the sprout.

The third top dressing is done when the pepper seedlings are developing insufficiently productively. Usually, feeding is carried out only before planting in a place where it will grow constantly. A good feeding of pepper seedlings is organic fertilizers of dry and liquid form, it is better to choose mineral fertilizers.
