Goldenrod hybrid

Goldenrod is one of the names of a fairly popular solidago plant, which is a beautifully flowering perennial shrub. Due to its amazing decorative appearance, goldenrod has become the most widespread in Europe, Asia, as well as in North and South America. At the same time, he won the love of not only amateur gardeners, but also landscape designers who widely use plants of this type both solo and as part of various compositions.

The genus of the goldenrod plant has about 120 species. Among them, the most popular is the hybrid goldenrod. This species includes a fairly large number of varieties obtained, as a rule, from one source material - Canadian goldenrod.

Goldenrod hybrid, depending on the variety of this plant, can have different heights, ranging from 60 cm to 2 m. All plants of this species are erect with straight or branched stems. They are distinguished by high winter hardiness and are able to withstand quite large caps of snow, which greatly facilitates their cultivation.

Hybrid goldenrod usually blooms in August-September. At this time, the branches of the shrubs are covered with beautiful yellow flowers that gather in fairly large inflorescences. It is for these flowers that many people love the goldenrod hybrid, although this is not its only advantage. The plant of this species looks great in the garden and not during the flowering period, since it has very beautiful oblong leaves and an interesting shape.
