Spank cherry care

In order to get a high yield, it is necessary to provide the cherry with spanke proper care... After planting cherries, it is necessary to mulch the trunk circle. For this purpose, sawdust or compost is often used. By doing this, you can limit the level of moisture evaporation.

At a young age, cherry shpanke must provide:

  • Loosening
  • Watering
  • Weed cleaning

After several years after planting the shpanki cherry, it is necessary to water abundantly. This action is performed during the growth of shoots, as well as flowering and ripening. Otherwise, you can get fruits with poor taste and poor pulp. In order to improve the yield of cherries in cold spring, it is necessary to spray it with a solution of honey and boiled water. It is also necessary to carry out shallow loosening two to three times per season.

An adult tree requires mineral fertilizers.

For this purpose, you can use ready-made complex fertilizers or organic fertilizers. in the form of rotted manure, peat, humus. Fertilizers must be applied three times a year. The first two times fertilizers are applied during the growing season, and the third - during the autumn digging of the earth.

7-8 years after planting the shpanki cherry, the main branches may dry out. That is why they need to be cut off in time and at the same time leave young and strong shoots. Spank cherry does not tolerate acidic soils. But if her planting was carried out in such a soil, then it is necessary to save her ovaries from shedding. Cherry planting

Cherry planting

Very often, gardeners are faced with various problems while growing cherries. The reason for this is often its incorrect landing.

To plant shpanki cherries, you must:

  • First of all, carry out the correct selection of the soil.
  • The planting of this plant is carried out in the spring.
  • Cherry sapling will be able to fully take root, which will have a beneficial effect on the growth of the plant.
  • If the cherry is planted in the fall, then the seedling may not completely take root and die as a result of exposure to freezing temperatures in the winter.
  • There should be a distance of 2-2.5 meters between the trees, since this plant has a very rosy crown.
  • The depth of the planting hole should be about 50 centimeters, and its width should be equal to the diameter of the seedling root.
  • Humus and superphosphate must be added to the soil removed from the pit. Next, you need to place the seedling in the hole and fill it with the resulting mixture. In the event that cherries are planted in heavy clay soils, then sand must be added.
  • In the event that a shpanki cherry seedling has damaged roots, then they must be cut to a healthy place. For this purpose, garden shears are used.
  • After the seedling is placed in the ground, a roller must be made of the ground at a distance of 30 centimeters from its trunk. This action is performed in order to form a hole for watering the earth.
  • Watering is carried out with water heated in the sun, in the amount of 2-3 buckets.
  • After watering the seedling, it is necessary that the root collar is at ground level. If the root collar is above the ground, and the roots of the seedling are bare, then you need to add some soil. In the event that it is deeply buried in the ground, then the soil around the seedling needs to be selected a little.
