Common loosestrife and its cultivation

Verbeynik ordinary is a herbaceous perennial belonging to the primrose family. Its stems grow every spring from a creeping rhizome more than a meter high. It blooms during June and July with bright yellow flowers, collected in a panicle inflorescence. The plant is pollinated by bees and is a good honey plant.
