Kupena multiflorous. Humble beauty

This flower deserves the attention of introverts who like to mature at the root of things, are prone to philosophical reasoning. Without excess of bright colors, the modest but graceful kupena reveals its beauty upon prolonged examination. I also call it lily of the valley under the roof. There are certainly similarities, but there are also differences.

Kupena multiflorous is a plant from the lily family. Even in the period when there are no inflorescences, its ornamental bushes themselves remain a decoration of the garden. Interesting arcs of stems, elongated leaves, which can be either uniform green or painted with a pleasant white stripe, are an excellent background for mixborders. However, it should be noted that the kupena loves shady places. In the sun, without enough moisture, it can wither. Although there are drought-resistant varieties. If the conditions for the plant are suitable, it will aggressively displace others. Therefore, from time to time, the rhizome will have to be dug up and divided.

There are many benefits to buying. It is winter-hardy, durable, grows well, requires almost no maintenance (especially if the soil in the garden is fertile), weakly lends itself to diseases and pests (the exception is slugs that eat its leaves). It blooms for no more than a month, but, as we have already said, it pleases the eye with all its appearance.

Like many other ornamental plants, the multiflower is poisonous. Therefore, if you have small children running freely in the garden - wait with the planting of this culture. Its bright blue-red berries look very appetizing and can cause child poisoning.
