Home care for hibiscus

Today, there are countless varieties of hibiscus or Chinese rose on the flower market. What colors are there! It is very difficult to resist and not have at least one hibiscus at home.

Therefore, you should figure out how to care for hibiscus at home so that it grows well and pleases with flowers.

1. You need to mentally prepare yourself for the fact that it will be necessary to cut off the branches of the plant. Many novice flower growers are very afraid to perform pruning, but, believe me, they are simply necessary for plants. They not only allow the formation of a beautiful crown, but help the plant to branch, which then leads to a more luxuriant flowering.

2. Unfortunately, hibiscus is very often affected by spider mites. If the ambient temperature is high and the humidity is low, the mite can multiply very quickly on plants. Often, the fight against a tick becomes constant; it is not so easy to remove it from hibiscus.

Therefore, in the summer in the morning hours, when there is still no scorching sun, increase the air humidity around the plants by spraying their leaves from a spray bottle.

3. For better budding, hibiscus must be fed with mineral fertilizers for flowering plants.

4. In the warm season, plants can and should be taken out to a balcony or loggia, they love fresh air.

5. At a high air temperature (more than +30 degrees) and a lack of light, hibiscus can shed already formed buds.

6. Home care for hibiscus includes regular watering: make sure that the clod of earth in the pot does not dry out completely. If this happens, the leaves of the hibiscus will immediately sag.

Thanks for the helpful information! I want to share my own experience. My hibiscus grows in pots with auto-irrigation :-) I am self-employed, to be more precise, I breed plants. Wholesale pots were needed. I found a lot of interesting and useful things for myself. I was pleasantly surprised when I received a pots with automatic watering as a gift. Since then, I have been quietly switching only to such pots!
