How to care for a Chinese rose at home

For my last year's April anniversary, I received such a wonderful gift for the first time - a huge flowerpot with a blooming Chinese rose. According to the donor, this is a very unpretentious flower to care for, growing in tropical latitudes and therefore preferring a lot of light, moisture and space.

I did not experiment with my wonderful gift and, in order to avoid mistakes, I thoroughly studied how to care for a Chinese rose.

The basic rules of care include:

  • From mid-spring to mid-autumn, water the plant regularly and make sure that some moisture is retained in the soil. In winter, moderate watering is required;
  • Provide diffused light, do not allow direct sunlight, especially midday;
  • Every 3 weeks from April to August, feed the Chinese rose with special fertilizers for indoor plants with flowers;
  • Achieve indoor humidity by spraying;
  • The transplant should be carried out in early to mid-spring, using the following mixture as soil - sod, peat, leaf parts are mixed with sand in different proportions.
  • Reproduction is carried out by the stem-cuttings method.

After going through all the stages of growing a Chinese rose, you can easily and with special professionalism be able to tell any beginner how to care for a Chinese rose. Indeed, only following the above rules can you achieve constant colorful flowering. One overshadows - the flowers live only a couple of days. In nature, you can find flowers of the following colors: white, red, pink, orange and yellow. As well as variegated shades.

She is also very afraid of the cold. So, watch the temperature regime. A friend even took her home from work, because the Chinese rose became lethargic.
