Planting hazelnuts. Features of caring for this plant

Hazelnuts are one of my favorite nuts. Especially if it is covered in chocolate :)) Until recently, I had neither sleep nor spirit aware that this is the same hazel, hazelnut, which in childhood they feasted on with my sister (I grew up on the street, near my parents' house). Only hazelnuts are a domesticated version of hazelnuts. It is very useful and nutritious, rich in many micro and macro elements, vitamins E, C and group B.

Hazelnuts strengthens the immune system, normalizes metabolic processes in the body, slows down cell aging and can even prevent cancer! And it is not at all difficult to grow it, this bush is undemanding to the soil and unpretentious in care. The main thing is not to plant it in sand or swamp.

Naturally, on poor soils, the harvest will not be the richest. This must still be taken into account if you want to successfully grow this crop. Hazelnuts are planted in autumn. The best time is about a month before the onset of the first frost. But you can do this in the spring, before field work. In order for the seedlings to take root normally, the land must be plowed, loose.

If there is no rain for a long time, the plantings are irrigated, but at the same time there is good drainage in the soil, because the excess of moisture, as well as its lack, does not in the best way affect the development of the bushes and their fruiting. If you grow grasses in the aisles, watering should be counted on for them.

Hazelnut is a cross-pollinated plant, so it is advisable to combine different inter-pollinated varieties during planting. With proper care, a walnut bush can live and bear fruit for up to 180 years without compromising yields.
