Astragalus woolly-flowered

Woolly Astragalus is a herbaceous perennial plant in the legume family. Astragalus reaches a height of about 40 centimeters. The leaves are silky and shaggy. Astragalus has numerous, erect stems. The woolly Astragalus blooms in May or June. The flowers are yellow, they are collected in rather dense inflorescences. The fruits ripen in June or July. Astragalus is distributed in open places, on mounds.

Astragalus woolly is also called cat pea. This plant is listed in the Red Book. Astragalus is a medicinal plant. It has antihypertensive, sedative, cardiotonic, vasodilating and diuretic properties. Grass and roots are used as medicinal raw materials. Astragalus wool-flowered contains tannins, steroids, flavonoids, organic acids.
