Annual lupine is a useful and effective flower garden dweller

Probably all summer residents and owners of personal plots know this spectacular plant.

Annual lupine is very visible among other flowers. This is a tall plant with large candle inflorescences of various colors.

Moreover, lupine not only looks decorative in the garden, but is also useful for the soil on which it grows: it cleans it of pathogens of various diseases and pests.

In a fairly short period of growth, this plant builds up a large green mass, when embedded in the soil, it is enriched with nutrients and microelements.

It is preferable to grow lupins on loose fertile soils, observing moderate watering. Feeding lupine is optional, these flowers do well with those nutrients that the soil gives them without additional fertilization.

In order for the annual lupine to bloom longer, it is necessary to regularly remove already faded inflorescences from the plants.

It is better to plant tall lupins in places protected from the wind in the garden, but if the place for planting is blown by the winds, provide supports for the plants.

Lupine is a completely unpretentious plant. You should only periodically water the beds and weed out the weeds around the plants.

Lupins are propagated by seeds. It is recommended to sow seeds immediately in open ground and preferably before winter. In this case, the plants grow stronger and flowering begins earlier.

Seeds of lupines are sown 2-3 pieces in one hole for planting. The distance between the holes is 5-7 centimeters.

Lupins can be affected by root weevils and aphids.
