Sweet red pepper - a storehouse of vitamins

Often when planting certain fruit or vegetable crops on our plots, we really don't know how useful this or that fruit or vegetable is.

And if you figure this out, then it is likely that you would prefer to replace the less useful plant with one that brings more benefits.

For example, sweet red pepper is an excellent source of vitamins C and A. If you eat only one large pepper per day, you can get the required amount of these vitamins important for the body. Even in processed form, sweet pepper retains a large amount of ascorbic acid.

Pepper is good on the table both fresh, and as an addition to soups, and in pickled form. In any case, its crisp, juicy texture is loved by many. It has such an attractive bright color that even one type of pepper raises the mood and reminds of summer.

It is worth noting that sweet red pepper was artificially bred, and its progenitor is hot red pepper. But thanks to the efforts of breeders, sweet peppers almost do not contain that pungent substance with which the pods of hot peppers are so rich.

In addition to vitamins A and C, sweet pepper contains a lot of mineral salts, folic acid, pectin substances, easily digestible carbohydrates, vitamins P, K, B, E.

Therefore, with vitamin deficiency, it is so useful to include at least one bell pepper in your daily diet. For those suffering from diseases of the cardiovascular system, eating sweet pepper is also necessary, since the combination of vitamins P and C has a beneficial effect on blood vessels, improving their permeability and preventing the formation of blood clots.
