White marigolds in our garden

Marigolds (or tagetes) can easily be the pride of every gardener. They colorfully decorate the garden with their bright blooming buds and delight any eye. Until recently, only the following colors existed in crop production: orange, red, yellow and brown. But rarely, in exceptional cases, you can find white marigolds with a cream shade.

However, finding white marigold seeds is not easy. Many gardeners have already become disillusioned with the purchased seeds, as it was written on the packaging, white marigolds. But in fact, flowers of an incomprehensible shade came out - either yellow, or dirty, or dark cream. To find true white, you need to go to experienced breeders who grow hybrid varieties.

Sowing of marigolds is carried out at the end of May with seeds in open ground at a depth of about 2 cm. You can achieve earlier flowering by planting seedlings, the seeds of which are grown at home since April. By the way, growing marigolds is possible at home in large flowerpots. Closer to summer, flowerpots will decorate the balcony and windows.

White marigolds, like other varieties, are unpretentious in care and cultivation. There are no clear requirements for the place of disembarkation, watering and care. The only rules that must be followed are to provide good feeding and remove wilted flowers.

Having found seeds of various colors, you can plant marigolds in flower beds, maintaining a certain pattern or geometric figure. The flowering period is quite long, so the beautiful color and pleasant aroma will delight you and those around you for a long time.

I have a double feeling of marigolds - I like that they bloom magnificently and for a long time, until frost, but their smell annoys me.
