Cannes flower care

Some flowers are ready to delight their owners with their beautiful flowering only if they are properly cared for. Cannes is one of these colors, and this is not surprising, because they already deserve proper care only with their bizarre shapes and multi-colored colors.

Caring for canna flowers is not so simple as it might seem to some gardeners, because they require quite increased attention in their direction, but if observed, they will delight the owners with very unusual flowering.

An important rule in caring for cannes is, first of all, correctly selected soil for planting them. It should be a well-moistened compost-supported substrate. if the flower is grown in a pot, then there must be enough soil in it.

Regular fertilization of flowers is the key to its successful growth, just like regular watering. But it should also be borne in mind that excessive watering of the canna can cause its diseases and pest damage, as a result of which the entire bush will have to be destroyed.
Cannes bloom almost all summer, so in order for the flowers to please the eye constantly, it is necessary to cut off the faded inflorescences so that new ones grow in their place.

Caring for cannes flowers also implies their proper storage in the cold season, and this is digging them up and storing them indoors. As soon as the night frosts become regular, the plant must be cut 10-20 cm above the ground, and the tubers must be dug up. Store tubers at a temperature of 10 C, preferably in a basement. The roots are stored in a box filled with sand, upside down.

Cannes tubers are planted after the last spring frosts have passed. Planting depth - 8 cm.
