In the fall, mulching with a thick layer of leaf humus, crushed bark or wood chips will not be superfluous. Do not forget to cut the asparagus to the root before mulching.

Growing asparagus beans also involves constant hand weeding. The first crop of asparagus can be harvested when the shoots are 2 years old. They are cut at a distance of 15 cm from the ground within 6 weeks after the start of fruiting. If you already have an adult plant, then this is done over a period of 8-10 weeks.

Tell me, how does the asparagus tolerate frost? Do you need to look after it additionally in winter? I have never grown, but it will be a pity if I spend the whole summer, and she dies in the winter.
