Beans that everyone can grow

Long familiar to everyone, beans are characterized by a large number of different types. Its seeds are rich in protein, surpassing even pork and beef in this respect. It also contains many amino acids, including lysine.

Thus, it is a very, very useful culture.

If it is decided that beans should grow on the personal plot, the cultivation of which will not cause difficulties even for a beginner, then soil preparation should be carried out before sowing. Fertile soil with the addition of organic and mineral substances will be preferable. It is important that it is sufficiently moist, with a loosened top layer.

The planting depth of beans is approximately 3-5 cm. Beans grow best at a temperature of 18-20 degrees, but initially they should be kept at the level of 8-10 degrees. In order for bean seeds to germinate, they need moisture, oxygen and heat. All this is ensured by a suitable looseness of the soil and an optimal sowing depth. At zero temperature, the sprouts will be damaged, and at -1 ° C they will die.

It will take about 10 days before germination. Further, if the beans have the shape of a bush, then the stem will quickly stop growing, and the bush will begin to form with lateral shoots and reach a height of 50-70 cm. If we are talking about a semi-peeling form, then significant branching will be observed in the lower part of the stem. It is distinguished by an elongated internode and a curly stem over 70 cm long.

Taking proper care of your growing beans includes:
  • systematic loosening of the soil;
  • weeding;
  • top dressing, watering;
  • pest control.
The fruit of a bean is a bean, consisting of two valves, which contain seeds up to 30 mm long. When the beans are ripe, cultivation will give way to harvesting, which takes place in several stages.
