Almond shrub - an unusual decoration in the garden

Sometimes you just want to diversify your garden with exotic plants, and even those that give unusual fruits. Such a plant can be an almond shrub, which is also very often called a steppe. The fruits of an ornamental shrub are not used for food, but they look very beautiful on the bush itself. Its unique characteristic is that the shoots replace each other, i.e. if one dies, then a new one grows in its place or side by side.

The almond shrub is especially beautiful in spring, when flowers cover all the branches of the shrub. During this time, almonds look especially decorative. But even after it has faded, almonds do not lose their attractiveness, thanks to the small, as if artificial, leaves and the correct shape of the stems, almonds always look attractive. The almonds need to be trimmed to make them look even more decorative.

Almonds are very fond of light, so they need to be planted in open and well-lit areas. In soil, this plant is not particularly picky, so it can be grown on sandy soils and on clay. Of course, like many others, almonds love compost soil, then the bushes will be especially lush and blooming.

After the almonds have bloomed, it is advisable to examine the bush and remove old and dry shoots, then over the summer the bush will grow back, become more lush and in spring it will delight with even greater flowering and its decorative effect. This procedure is called rejuvenation.

The cultivation of artisanal almonds is a fairly simple process, and in response to regular renewal of the bush, almonds will delight you with the unusual decorativeness and beauty of the bush.

From a distance it looks like a blooming apple tree, but when you think about its size, you realize that it is an almond. What climatic conditions are most favorable for growing this plant?
